Carnegie Leases Approved

March 3, 2015

Traverse City commissioners Monday night unanimously approved three-year leases with Crooked Tree Arts Center and the Grand Traverse Rock and Mineral Club to occupy the city-owned Carnegie Building. Crooked Tree will pay $25,000 annually to use the facility, while the Rock and Mineral Club will pay $1,000.

A potential third tenant - the History Center of Traverse City - is still in negotiations with the city over lease terms. A proposed agreement with that organization could come before city commissioners for review later this month.
